What if SNW goes full chaos next season and Kirk and Spock kiss. What if they date and break up. SNW is fully within its rights as a Star Trek series to retcon all the K/S pining in TOS as “two dudes who used to fuck,” think about THAT for 10 months.

“but quark doesn’t paint his nails, ferengi nails are naturally blue” that second part is true and here’s a few examples of the nails of ferengi characters who aren’t quark (in the form of a very quickly thrown together collage, click on it for at least a somewhat better view)
but then here are quark’s nails, which are often actually silver !
there are definitely times when his nails are more of a regular blue, but even then they’re always noticeably much shinier than other ferengi characters’ nails, suggesting that he at the very least wears a silver top coat when he doesn’t fully paint them
there’s no Star Wars vs Star Trek dichotomy, they are both space based but have completely different themes, morals, universe rules, character arcs, and structure (initially movie vs initially tv show). it makes no sense to rank them against each other
