it’s really not Spock’s fault that it took him and Jim so long to get together. human courtship rituals are really weird
- as little communication as possible is ideal- eye contact and body language is everything
- everything is in code, full of idioms or complete nonsense that you are just supposed to understand
- flowers? chocolate? aren’t chess dates and nerding-out sufficient?
- apparently the male is supposed to be the initiator? but what if they are both male? why are these still rules, unspoken or not?
- how are you supposed to understand what people want without telepathy OR communication
- nothing makes sense
