i think the new outfit looks cool, and his hair is smashing!! it makes him look a lot more mature which i like a lot haha (i also gave drawing him a shot because everyone else has already)
when I say I like AOS, what I mean is I like the aesthetic of all the sleek shiny gadgets and ships, I like the different kinds of costumes and slightly updated uniform designs, I like the extremely attractive cast playing the crew, I like how far special effects have come since the corny attempts in the 60s, I like the improvements fandom has made to turn badly written and stereotyped characters into incredibly complex and likeable people
we can like something AND be critical of it at the same time

I stumbled upon this lovely image and I just had to use it. I’m
definitely satisfied of the result. It’s been a feat to find the right
pic for Quinto: I needed a very big pic, with a pose that would fit and
hopefully even a look that would fit. I managed, but I swore so much
because the perfect pic (him with closed eyes) for some reasons didn’t
work (I don’t really remember why, I did this manip a month ago and let
it linger on the hard drive). It took me an awful amount of time to find a title, and it still sucks, but… yeah.
Not talking about this manip in specific - I’m actually quite pleased of how this turned out - But, let me tell you something. If
you’re a fan-manipper, especially someone who is approaching this
hobby, let me give you an advice: never ever ever work with HQ pics that
are bigger that 1024. It’s a nightmare, especially if you work with a colored image.
Really, stick to images less big. Or abuse the “rescale” command: don’t
be an ass*le like me, use that damn rescale, the quality will enormously
improve. ust don’t be like me and you’ll save your own damn liver.
