“There’s a lot of rules, be sure not to follow all of them” Is possibly the most affectionate, brotherly thing that Kirk has said to anyone ever and I need to see more of that dynamic play out with Jaylah and Kirk.
I want to see Kirk and Jaylah being equally protective of each other and Kirk to teach her about all of the wonderful things she may have missed while she was stranded and her to teach him about engineering and show her things that maybe she’ll make in the future.
And Kirk checking up how she is doing at the academy until they can get her onto the enterprise.
