Please just take a second to read this and maybe reblog for me.
My Dad painted this. It actually took him a few years, because he never had time to finish it until like a week ago.
It’s of Captain James T. Kirk and a bunch of cute tribbles.
My dad has never taken an art class, he taught himself when he could through books and watching some art programs occasionally when he was younger.
My dad drives a mail truck (not a mail carrier. Actual truck that hauls the mail to post offices) for a living right now, used to be a security guard and other jobs like that. And he’s just so talented I have always wished he could have gone pro but of course life happens…:’/
Anyway here’s the sitch:
The small con I’m at this weekend is mostly anime/gamer people, and I’m feeling bad that his work is not being appreciated like it should, people are overlooking it and I’m afraid this will discourage him.
I made him prints of this as 8x10s and 4x5s (25 of each) and I want to know who would be interested in buying some? 8x10 are $10 and the 4x5 are $2 each.
Please, if you can’t buy, please reblog?
I’ve made a gorgeous print of the original acrylic painting, I made sure of that. And postage would be cheap as well.
If you want to buy, drop me an ask! Or at least send me something about what you think of this painting. I want my dad’s work to be appreciated, it means a lot to me and to him (though he prolly won’t admit it haha).
