(i realised the resolution for the previous baby jim kirk post was very poor, so i’m posting another one!)i think jim was the type to shine so bright that the world decided to dull his sparkle – one rejection after another, he started to shrink. he loved his mom and tried his best to make her love him. he was a child prodigy who never really considered himself “smart”. he loved to knit and loved his grandfather (please read @annaknitsspock‘s fic unraveling - you’ll understand what i’m talking about!!). he was patient. he enjoyed silence. he liked to feel the winter coldness. he often went star gazing and cried for no particular reason. he never stopped having bruises and scars. he loved to read about anything and everything. he tried not to think about his father.
then tarsus happened, and he stopped being a “kid”.

“average starfleet officer breaks the prime directive twice a month” factoid actualy a statistical error. average starfleet officer breaks prime directive 0 times a month. jim kirk, who captains the enterprise & breaks the prime directive 10,000 times each month, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
