I will admit that this is one of those scenes that I’ve been saving to draw and this week I just really really wanted to see bearded, cranky, medallion wearing Bones McCoy from TMP.
It’s one of my favourite scenes in the film and McCoy is just wonderful as he slips immediately into the role. Even the script points the delightful familiarity of it all.
Wonderful scene, really enjoyed doing this drawing.

I just love all the little set details in this so much.
considering this is after The Voyage Home (see the picture of David next to what appear to be inkwells(?)), I like to think the whales are a reference to that :)
