I stumbled upon this lovely image and I just had to use it. I’m definitely satisfied of the result. It’s been a feat to find the right pic for Quinto: I needed a very big pic, with a pose that would fit and hopefully even a look that would fit. I managed, but I swore so much because the perfect pic (him with closed eyes) for some reasons didn’t work (I don’t really remember why, I did this manip a month ago and let it linger on the hard drive).
It took me an awful amount of time to find a title, and it still sucks, but… yeah.

Not talking about this manip in specific - I’m actually quite pleased of how this turned out - But, let me tell you something.
If you’re a fan-manipper, especially someone who is approaching this hobby, let me give you an advice: never ever ever work with HQ pics that are bigger that 1024. It’s a nightmare, especially if you work with a colored image. Really, stick to images less big. Or abuse the “rescale” command: don’t be an ass*le like me, use that damn rescale, the quality will enormously improve.
ust don’t be like me and you’ll save your own damn liver.

But that’s not the worst thing. Hell begins when Jim starts answering questions of “What do you have planned for the evening, captain?” with “Oh, you know, Dr McCoy and I are gonna play doctor.” 

Or 

“Captain, you seem agitated. Is everything alright?” 

“Yeah, yeah, I just didn’t sleep well last night. Dr McCoy and I stayed up late playing doctor.” 

Cue stunned silence on the bridge.

Of course, Bones unknowingly chooses that moment to come to the bridge with a pad in his hands and a frown on his face and all heads turn to him. It takes him five seconds to take in the scene and Jim’s sly smirk.

“What the hell did you cook up this time?”

“Me? Nothing.”

Uhura clears throat.

“I think I understand now why you seem so tired lately, Doctor.”

“What?”

“Well, all that late night activity… it must leave you exhausted.”

“What in God’s name are you talking about, Uhura? Jim–where are you going?”

“I have a thing to do in the engi–”

“Jim, come back here, you infant! What did you do this time? Jim–!”

“That’s a lovely invitation, Bones, but I’m on duty, so no time for playing doctor.” and he has trouble keeping his voice steady because he’s already grinning like an idiot 

“Get. Moving.”

“Okay, okay, my ass is on its way. Kirk out.”

..like.. Jim and Spock are already blatantly flirting on the bridge but I’m positive that the conversations between Jim and Bones are a tad filthier

academy teachers au

I’ve been thinking about this AU where Jim and Spock are teachers at the academy and they are also roommates.

The previous roommate Spock had, had left (like many others) because apparently, living with an emotionless vulcan drove them mad. So one day this new history teacher appears and accept to live with Spock. Spock is, of course, the science teacher.

After some months Spock realizes that Jim is still living with him and it’s the first time someone stayed with him for so long so he starts “relaxing” a bit. They talk a lot, they are super comfortable with each other, they do the chores, the laundry, go to the grocery store and cook together. Jim even learn how to do some vulcan dishes. Maybe when one of them have the day off they cook for the other.

One day Jim tells Spock that he always wanted to be a starship captain but his eye sight is really bad so that dream wasn’t possible… this is just an excuse because I want Jim to wear glasses all the time uwu

So yeah… Jim and Spock falling asleep in the couch, having lunch together at the academy in their lunch break, playing chess…

Mccoy is the academy’s doctor and Chapel is the nurse, Uhura is the language teacher, Chekov and Sulu can be students and Scotty is the engineering teacher.
