Jim Kirk trying really really hard to make Spock laugh. He tries an endless stream of jokes trying to just make Spock smile. Nothing works. Until finally he has run out of ideas and starts in on the truly horrible bad puns. And i mean terrible, the type that makes anyone standing next to Jim punch him.
but they work
Spock laughs, and it means that Jim is the smuggest being in the universe. he declares himself funniest man ever and makes it his life goal to tell every single bad pun ever.
Bones and Uhura are considering quiting. Scotty, Sulu and Chekov love them. And Spock really really doesn’t understand illogical humans, how did he end up on this ship?
