So… you know how people nowadays do like, old Victorian style Christmas dress-up? Do people in Star Trek do dress-up traditions from our time? Like, the ugly Christmas sweaters. Is it a thing they do because it’s fun to imitate what people did a couple hundred years ago? That’s a scary thought.

Jim Kirk would plan the cheesiest romantic dates imaginable. Reciting poems and Shakespeare in the park, long walks on the beach while discussing latest scientific theory. He would go for the sappiest ways to show just how much he cares.
