The hammer of the gods
will drive our ships to new lands
to fight the horde, singing and crying:
ᴠᴀʟʜᴀʟʟᴀ, ɪ ᴀᴍ ᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ!!

How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
ᴡᴇ ᴀʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴏᴠᴇʀʟᴏʀᴅs

So now you’d better stop
and rebuild all your ruins
for peace and trust can win the day

In some reflection of the universe, whispers of a particular pair echo, eons after their crash landing through the galaxies within the Terran Empire and beyond.

Few are certain of how this strange union began—some say it started when the ship-hijacking space pirate Jaylah was said to have hijacked the Terran Empire’s NCC-1701. Others say it began when the engineering prodigy Montgomery Scott took some sort of pity on the Enterprise’s invader—overriding the Captain’s controls from the Engineering Decks and assisting the strange woman in her grab for one more pretty ship in the sea of stars.

What began as one ship became the conversion of an armada, when the pirate Jaylah challenged the ideals of the Terran Empire — and it was only then that Montgomery Scott realized there was something even greater than slitting throats to climb the ranks — galaxies freed of the Terran grasp, and, of course, the glory of being worshiped by the liberated—or so, he said.

She was the blade and tooth, stirring the souls of the enslaved and sharpening the swords of the oppressed, while he was the unhinged “transporter surgeon” who took mad glee in disassembling his enemies with gadets and technology beyond imagine.

Their war on the Terran Empire was, at first, believed to be a joke by the mad prankster and the relatively unknown warrior woman. As they overtook more and more ships together, through hacking or through simple freeing the trapped and persecuted, a small army was born.

None could touch either of the pair—should one attempt to assassinate the mad engineer, they would be met with the blades of his furious beloved. Should one attempt to tear down the alabaster goddess of ships and swords, they would surely be met with one amused lunatic armed with transporter-tech and the vacuum of space.

Some likened them to a sort of “Bonnie and Clyde” — finding others who loathed the Terran Empire and promising independence in return for ships and weaponry. Like Bonnie and Clyde, the pair of ship-hijacking lovers ultimately went down in a rain of fire and nova when their seven-year war was brought to an end.

Their legacy echoed throughout the universe, ultimately inspiring the iconoclasts and rebels who would rise up against the very Empire that had created—in very differing ways—the Engineering Legend, Montgomery Scott, and the once-refugee Pirate Captain, who would come to be known as Jaylah Scott.
