Decided to not waste the paper, after adding chiton!Kirk I painted this in math class. (based on Hebe’s dress lol. Cause the statue was on my text book, and drag kirk even when you can’t tell makes me happy.)
Again, inspired by gladiator greek roman stuffs, but Spock reminded me of Sparta so now it’s like Kirk is Athens or something and it’s a weird pre-surak AU. No, I never make sense. Maybe it’s a Spartacus AU???
So, like, Kirk is from a royal family and they used to be generals or whatever, but his Dad died and so he’s raised by his mom’s side and they are more of a scholar type, so like even though Jim (Iacomos is the original Latin form apparently) is totally general warrior material… you know, which is how he got into gladiator fights, and Spock of course is his blade… Something like that.

So I’ve read a bunch of coffee shop AU where Jimjam is the one working the counter, but has anyone ever done one with Spock as the barista? Idk maybe he owns the place after coming to earth and developing an affinity for the art/science mashup that is coffee? Extra points if he doesn’t particularly like coffee, but is fascinated with the way subtle differences in roasting times, type and origins of the beans, brewing methods, etc. affect the flavor. Maybe vulcan sense of smell/taste allows him to be better-than-any-human-could-hope-to-be good at it and his place is known for being the best coffee in the city.
I just really like the idea of a spock who is obsessed with the most ‘accurate’/scientifically perfect way to brew different coffees/drinks, and maybe Jim (or whoever)is the customer he secretly, illogically wants to strangle because most patrons have this kind of reverent attitude towards Spock’s 'perfect cuppa’ but kirk comes in and dumps like half a container of sugar and a bunch of cocoa powder into it, regardless of what he orders and without even tasting it first.
