Young Spock sometimes had strange dreams.
It was not the fact that he had dreams, but the content of the dreams that eventually caused him to seek his mother’s counsel. He went to Amanda and not his father because there was an emotional element to these irrational night visions that filled him with shame, but he knew his mother would not judge him for that.
