Whenever I’ve seen the word ‘kroykah’ used in fic it’s usually like an exasperated short and sharp ‘stop!!!’ And yeah its a great word and it really lends itself to that sort of tone but
What if it were like a lazy early-morning ‘mmmmmm stoooop’ when Jim is trying to smooch Spock awake (or tease him with embarrassing memories), he literally just croaks it out and buries himself in covers.
Or if it were a breathless unheard plea during a long, much needed session of sensory deprivation, when it’s agreed that only safe-words will do, and Jim is piercing him open and pushing his body to its very limits. The word is sobbed out and it sounds pitiful but all it can possibly means is ‘fuck me more’. Blankets are torn with teeth and desperate Vulcan fingers.
I’m pretty sure this ^^^ is how this shot looked originally, and then when all the test audiences were like: “gaaaaaay” they made Uhura stand awkwardly in the bkgd.
