Crossposted: Deviantart, Livejournal.I stumbled upon this lovely image and I just had to use it. I’m definitely satisfied of the result. It’s been a feat to find the right pic for Quinto: I needed a very big pic, with a pose that would fit and hopefully even a look that would fit. I managed, but I swore so much because the perfect pic (him with closed eyes) for some reasons didn’t work (I don’t really remember why, I did this manip a month ago and let it linger on the hard drive).
It took me an awful amount of time to find a title, and it still sucks, but… yeah.Not talking about this manip in specific - I’m actually quite pleased of how this turned out - But, let me tell you something.
If you’re a fan-manipper, especially someone who is approaching this hobby, let me give you an advice: never ever ever work with HQ pics that are bigger that 1024. It’s a nightmare, especially if you work with a colored image. Really, stick to images less big. Or abuse the “rescale” command: don’t be an ass*le like me, use that damn rescale, the quality will enormously improve.

academy teachers au
I’ve been thinking about this AU where Jim and Spock are teachers at the academy and they are also roommates.
The previous roommate Spock had, had left (like many others) because apparently, living with an emotionless vulcan drove them mad. So one day this new history teacher appears and accept to live with Spock. Spock is, of course, the science teacher.
After some months Spock realizes that Jim is still living with him and it’s the first time someone stayed with him for so long so he starts “relaxing” a bit. They talk a lot, they are super comfortable with each other, they do the chores, the laundry, go to the grocery store and cook together. Jim even learn how to do some vulcan dishes. Maybe when one of them have the day off they cook for the other.
One day Jim tells Spock that he always wanted to be a starship captain but his eye sight is really bad so that dream wasn’t possible… this is just an excuse because I want Jim to wear glasses all the time uwu
So yeah… Jim and Spock falling asleep in the couch, having lunch together at the academy in their lunch break, playing chess…
Mccoy is the academy’s doctor and Chapel is the nurse, Uhura is the language teacher, Chekov and Sulu can be students and Scotty is the engineering teacher.
