imagine aos kirk and spock having a kid and they refer to spock prime as sa'mekh'al because its a damn sight easier just to tell them they have another grandfather than explain where he comes from to a small child

like just imagine a little girl with dark hair and blue eyes and pointed ears bounding off the shuttle onto new vulcan ahead of her parents and greeting spock prime with a proud and perfectly pronounced “dif-tor heh smusma, sah'mekh'al!”, a chubby-fingered ta'al and a jim’s bright sunshine smile

spock prime would absolutely adore her and spoil her rotten

I always liked the idea that at first Jim and Spock would argue at bit about how to refer to ‘the ambassador’ and then their daughter - because she’s bright and brilliant and her fathers’ daughter - would resolve the issue herself by taking one look at prime and immediately calling him “a’nirih isha” or “sah’mek ’isha” (i’m not a linguist and have no idea if thats the proper form) for “also father” and that over time it would devolve simply to “Isha” and that all their children (and maybe even some of the kids of the rest of the crew) would use it affectionately for him.

but then… i accept like 99% of headcanons - yes please to this and more.
