In the star trek novel I'm reading, there's a scene post journey to Babel where Spock, sarek, and Kirk play poker in sickbay, and sarek is winning bc he's a crafty old Vulcan. Just imagine that for a sec (for added excellence, sarek tells them that Amanda taught him to play :DDD )
