Spock doesn’t particularly enjoy being holed up on cold, humid planets. But he supposed it is manageable when Jim readily bundles him up in blankets and offers him tea (and secretly snaps a holo of his adorable space boyfriend).
Another cold Spock ready for cuddles. This time Jim managed to make him plomeek soup and once again got his bundled up Vulcan distracted enough to snap a holo, aaay!

For those of you who don’t know, this is fanart for i-am-cem‘s beautiful story Unforgettable. I spent such a long time on this and though I know there are flaws, I am beyond proud of it!
I give a pretty good description of my feelings about Unforgettable on DeviantArt, but here’s what I said about the drawing itself:
I wanted to set the pictures up in panels and I had a pretty clear idea of what to draw. Actually drawing it was the hard part (which seems obvious but isn’t always the case with artwork)! The first panel is Spock biting his lip, because I realize that’s something he does in TOS when he’s emotionally hurt or he’s struggling with his control. Second panel is Spock’s cut hand, which relates to the fic. The third panel is Spock crying, which may have been the hardest thing for me to draw because tears are really difficult to make look convincing. In the last pic, Spock has his head in his hands, completely devastated. The black background was an accident that turned out being exactly the look I wanted, so I kept it. This art means a lot to me, because I have spent DAYS on it, and more importantly, I feel that it represents my feelings about a beautiful fic. Pain, isolation, secrecy, despair… These are all themes in the story, and I feel that as dark as that is, it is important to depict. I personally believe that this may be my strongest work yet (my HWO fanart competes with it), and I loved drawing TOS Spock. It was an honor to do this for a great writer, and friend.
Also, I am aware that Spock’s meditation robe is supposed to be black but I was concerned that it would blend in too much with his hair if I shaded it in. I’m curious to try it out though, so I might change that sometime in the future.
